Lazio Bid for Baba Rahman

Lazio are ready to make a £13million bid to sign Chelsea left-back Baba Rahman.

The Italians are keen on the cut-price move after a disappointing year for the 21-year-old, signed for a £21.7million package last summer.

Rahman arrived from German club Ausburg but made a total of just 23 appearances last season.

Only 11 of those were league starts, with Spanish international Cesar Azpilicueta usually preferred on the left of defence.

At times, Brazilian youngster Kenedy – a striker by trade – was even selected at left-back instead of Rahman.

The Ghana international is desperate to play more regularly but his prospects are understood to be bleak under new coachAntonio Conte.
