WBO Africa featherweight champion, Isaac “Royal Storm” Dogboe (14-0, 9 KOs), added the WBO World Junior Featherweight title after beating his Filipino opponent, John Neil Tebanao (13-1,9KOs) on Friday night.

After 12 rounds of action, Dogboe won by unanimous decision. All three judges scored the bout 120-109, 117-113, 119-110 in a fight which proved to be the toughest test of his career so far.

Tebanao proved to be a tough customer as he gave the Ghanaian boxer a good run for his money throughout the fight.

The Ghanaian boxer, who is 12th in the Junior Featherweight division world rankings by the WBO, is hoping to come back to the ring later in the year to enable him rise in the rankings.

Dogboe has been one of the brightest spots in Ghana boxing and has been touted by many a pundit as the next superstar to lift the flag of Ghana high in Boxing.
