Nii Lantey Vanderpuije, Minister of Youth and Sports has, on behalf of His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama, the Government and people of Ghana, wished Dogboe the best of luck, as he prepares to take on Philippines’ Neil John Tabanao in the WBO Unification and WBC Youth World Featherweight Championship in Ghana, at the Police Officers’ Social and Fitness centre on Friday.
A release from the Sports Ministry read; “With the right mindset, nothing should be beyond you, go all out till you emerge victorious.
“You should prepare your mind adequately and renew your spirit of conviction towards the competition. Boxing is a game of tact and flair and this is the way you should go.
“Play it fair and obey the rules of the game and in the end, I know you will be victorious.”
