Medeama SC has been fined an amount of GH¢2000 by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GPL) after a section of its supporters threatened, insulted and assaulted match officials when Medeama played Dreams FC at the T&N Park.
Medeama SC, in their response, pleaded ‘not guilty’ and further explained that it was only a handful of supporters who threw sachets of water, for which its management swiftly intervened to curb the misdemeanor.
The response added that the club would therefore not agree with the charge that it failed to control the supporters.
Medeama will be in action in the CAF Confederation Cup today, as they battle Algerian side, MO Bejaia for progression to the semi-final stage.
