“It has been our collective ambition to defend the champions league trophy but, once we missed out on the group stages, we would now have to chanel our energy towards the confederation cup.
“We just booked our place in the semis but our collective aim would be to win the cup to atone for our missed chances in the champions league.
“We would start preparing for the semis with all the seriousness it deserves so as not to experience another heart break again”, Solomon Asante told sports crusader exclusively.
The Ghana international missed the latter part of last season but has since found his blistering form for TP Mazembe in the Congolese topflight.
Asante will be out of contract next year after a successful career in the DR Congo.
