FA President Welcomes Black Stars

President of the Ghana Football Association(GFA), Kwesi Nyantakyi has welcomed a section of the Black Stars players who have been able to purchase their tickets, in order to honour the last match of the African Cup of Nations qualifier against the Amavubi of Rwanda.

A total of 13 players have arrived so far arrived in camp, including three local players namely Richard Ofori, Daniel Amartey, Kadri Mohammed, Baba Rahman, John Boye, Edwin Gyimah and Mubarak Wakaso,Frank Acheampong, Alfred Duncan, Afriyie Acquah, Yaw Yeboah, Dauda Mohammed and David Accam.


After their first training session which lasted for an hour, Nyantaki said; “We welcome and wish you a good stay during the preparations towards the two matches against Rwanda and the friendly match against 2018 World Cup host, Russia.


“I know some of you had difficulties in coming down to honour the match because of the ticketing issues we had, but nonetheless, I want to thank you for showing your high sense of patriotism and I will applaud you for that.


“We are hoping to have a full house for the second training session which is scheduled for tomorrow so as to facilitate a smooth training programme  for the coach ahead of the two crucial encounters”, he ended.
