Kenichi Eyes League Crown

Kenichi Yatsuhashi insist his target is to lift the league title despite finishing fourth after the first round of the 2015-16 Ghana Premier League (GPL).

The Japanese-American trainer was appointed last year to succeed Herbert Addo permanently after the former was sacked midway through the season, and he immediately assured the club of league success.

His words has been transformed on to the pitch as they put up a strong challenge for the title until the final days of the first round, loosing the first slot to Wa All Stars.

However, his target has not changed.

“Our target by September 18 2016 is the first place. All 15 teams are difficult opponents.

“However, that is the only way we can give back what our supporters have given to the team to win the league title.” He wrote on Twitter.

Hearts of Oak has 26 points, 2 less than leaders Wa All Stars, but same points with second and third place Aduana Stars and Asante Kotoko respectively.
