Charles Sarpong In Contention For MLS All Star Team

Ghanaian forward Charles Sarpong has been nominated for the MLS All Star team after an impressive campaign with Philadelphia Union.

The free scoring attacker registered 5 strikes for his title chasing Union side to earn nominations for the lead attacker of the star studded All Star team.

Sarpong is joined by the rampant Sebastian Giovinco, Didier Drogba, David Villa and the sensational Christ Wondolowski for a place in the MLS All Star team at the half way point.

The Ghanaian born American international powered his club to within one point of the summit in the MLS with 5 odd goals and crucial assists to boot.

Crocked Black Stars custodian Adam Kwarasey missed out on the goal keepers department headlined by Andre Blake, David Bingham, Nick Rimando, Joe Bendick and Luis Robles.

Voting is underway for the pruning of the selected players into the finest XI based on accumulated votes from the fans.
