Playing In A Sponsor-less League Is Affecting Us - Nelson

Most clubs in the country are bitterly complaining about the lack of sponsorship of the GPL and, the two biggest clubs Hearts and Kotoko, are finding it difficult to meet their financial requirements as is being suggested by Nelson.

In an interview with Sportscrusader.com after the unveiling of the new GPL trophy, Mr. Nelson said: “the lack of sponsorship is affecting every club in the premier league, which includes Hearts, Capital Bank pulled out of sponsoring the league at a very bad time and the economic situation now is making it difficult for other sponsors to come on board, but I hope by the end of the league, we will get sponsors on board”.

Hearts of Oak will host Techiman City on Saturday in the week 23 round of GPL fixtures.
