Palmer Confirms "Tension" Within FA Ranks

Executive Committee member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Wilfred Osei Palmer, has revealed a growing tension between GGA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi and his vice, George Afriyie.

The bankroller and owner of former premier league side, Tema Youth, revealed in a radio interview that the two powerful men of Ghana football are not on good terms as they used to be.

“I know and have heard what is going on between the two parties (Kwesi Nyantakyi and George Afriyie). I relate to both of them very well and at the right time, all these issues will be resolved [whatever differences exist between the GFA President and his vice] and so let’s not discuss it in public.”

Afriyie was named as Kwesi’s right hand man after the latter was re-elected as GFA president for a third term running.
