Medeama SC put up a magnificent performance to overcome reigning CAF Champions league winners,TP Mazembe, after beating them by 3-2 in the penultimate CAF Confederations Cup match played at the Essipong Stadium on Sunday.
Medeama delivered a sweet revenge with virtually the last kick of the game to defeat the Congolese giants after losing by 3-1 in their first encounter.
Enoch Attah Agyei gave the Ghana super Cup Champions the lead in the first half before left-back Moses Sarpong got the second from a spot kick.
Jonathan Bolingi pulled one back for the visitors midway in the second half.
Zambian international Reinford Kalaba pulled parity for Mazambe with 10 minutes to end proceedings.
Kwesi Dansu became the hero for Medeama by scoring a late winner for Medeama who secured all three points.
As it stand now in Group A, TP Mazembe tops the group with 10 points,the Medeama are second having accumulated eight points Medeama followed by MO Bejaia who have five pionts,and lastly Young Africans who have four points.
Medeama SC will have to avoid a defeat in their last encounter against MO Bejaia or lose by a slim margin because of the better goal difference advantage.
