Wa All Stars captain, Hafiz Adams, has admitted they lost to the best side in the match week 24 encounter against Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs.
The result did not surprise many as Dwarfs have been the most in-form team of the second round of the season since the appointment of Prosper Nartey as head coach.
And Hafiz alluded to this in a post-match interview, admitting they lost to the best side who deserved to be crowned winners on the day, though he wished the results had been different – in their favour.
All Stars are fighting to win their first-ever league title with 41-points from 24-games.
“I am disappointed [with the result] but that is the game of football, it has three outcomes – a win, draw or loss. Prior to honouring this game, we targeted a win but it’s unfortunate we lost.
“They were better than us and deserved the victory. We lost fairly in a very a competitive match.”
All Stars will host Hearts of Oak at their favourite Wa Park in what many have predicted, should be an easy win for the Enos Kwame Adepa-led side on Wednesday.
