Liberty Professionals coach, George Lamptey, has accepted his side lost to a good and well-composed side.
The Scientific Soccer Lads lost by two goals to nil at home to Kumasi Asante Kotoko in their match week 24 encounter at the Carl Reindorf Park and, the honest-speaking Lamptey conceded his side’s performance was below par and that the best side won.
“It was a very good game, a game of two halves – where we bossed the first half and they dominated the second as they came out a rejuvenated side. Kotoko played very well and some threatening balls too.
“We have lost and I accept the defeat; all the goals we conceded were clean ones.”
Liberty lie in 9th position, two points away from safety and know a defeat against Ashgold on Wednesday might send them down into the relegation dog-fight.
