GN Bank DOL: Amekpewu Scores On Vision FC Debut

Striker Nicholas Amekpewu scored on his debut for his new club Vision FC in week 14 of the division one league match against King Solomon.

Amekpewu, who moved from fellow newly promoted Roberto FC had sat out of Vision’s 1-0 home win over Tema Youth on match day 13 following his transfer two weeks ago.

However, he was handed a debut against King Solomon in Old Tafo where he scored the only goal to hand Vision FC all three points.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Amekpewu who started his career in Sokpoe expressed his delight to have gotten off the mark insisting that his best is yet to come.

“I’m so happy to have gotten a goal for my new club on my debut. My joy is beyond what you think, because as a new signing, you need to impress and prove that you’re worth your value. Scoring and also getting the 3 points is a great thing to achieve. I did same for my former club when we played away to Danbort Fc at Nungua. I know my best is yet to come, because I have equally good players here”, he said.

Vision FC will play their week 15 game against Nania Fc at Kweiman on Sunday June 12, 2016 where Nicholas Amekpewu is expected to once again be handed his home debut.
