Prolific Aduana Stars centre forward Yahaya Mohammed has earned praises from a team-mate after his extremely strong finish to the first round of the season.
The experience attacker was lambasted on the domestic scene for his early season goal drought but a return of 11 goals in the last 12 outings forced many to change their stand.
Club mate, Bright Adjei, however tipped his senior colleague to steer the Dormaa based side to the domestic championship with his excellent goal scoring form.
Bright Adjei revealed getting moved for the rampant nature of Yahaya Mohammed and believes the current form of his colleague puts Aduana Stars in pole position for the trophy at the end of the season.
Aduana Stars lost their opening three matches of the season but has since blown opponents apart to finish the first half in second position, two points adrift of leaders Wa All Stars.
“The current form of Yahaya Mohammed means we are title favourites. I have always believed his goals will be very crucial for Aduana Stars at the end of the season.
Generally, the first half of the season has been extremely fantastic for us despite our poor start and that is good for the league,” Adjei told sportscrusader.com.
Adjei, who joined Aduana Stars from Tema Youth FC rose to global fame when his cycle kick away to defending champions, AshantiGold SC at Obuasi earlier in the season, won him CNN’s goal of the week accolade.
The young forward has since registered five goals in his 13 appearances this season.
