Former Black Stars team doctor Martin Engmann has been appointed as the team doctor of the beach soccer national team, the Black Sharks.
Dr Engmann led the medical team of Ghana Black Stars to its maiden participation at the FIFA World Cup Germany 2006 and has a vast experience in managing the medical department of the various national sporting associations particularly the national soccer teams leading them to several international competitions and tournaments.
This announcement comes as a major boost to beach soccer in Ghana whose reputation as the fastest growing and most innovative sports association keeps soaring especially after the just ended Beach Soccer Unity Cup.
Dr. Engmann is expected to advise the technical team and the President of the Association on other interventions to achieve and maintain good health practices among beach soccer players.
Meanwhile Beach Soccer Ghana will release the names of players called to camp ahead of preparations for the Afcon 2016 Beach Soccer qualifier against Kenya next month.
