Ghana Premier League debutants, Techiman City put in a spirited performance to hold Hearts of Oak at bay in a one all stalemate at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Both teams were coming from defeats in their respective match week 23 encounters and needed all the three points at stake.
After the humiliating defeat against WAFA coach Sergio Traguil made a couple of changes bringing in returnee from injury Cosmos Dauda, Ollenu Ashitey and Inusah Musah in defence.
The Phobians like their opponents created just a few clear chances at goal as the boring first half ended goalless.
But the second half was much lively as the Phobians started brightly of the two sides and we’re rewarded after attacking midfielder, Paul Acquah was fouled in the penalty box.
Cosmos Dauda added to his tally for the season a well placed effort at goal – his 9th goal of the season.
But the league debutants refused to lie low as they piled the pressure and in the 68th minute, Vincent Adu equalised with a powerful low drive shot.
Techiman City threatened Hearts afterwards but the men in the rainbow Jersey held on to end the game with just a point gained.
