WAFA Blames Pitches For Poor Away Form

Operations Director of West Africa Football Academy (WAFA), George Ofosu Nyarko, has blamed bad pitches at most league centers as being the reason for their poor away performance.

WAFA have only been able to accumulate 2 points from a possible 21 in their last seven Ghana Premier League (GPL) matches, marking them “poor” away from home.

In a post-match interview after their victory over Hearts, Ofosu Nyarko said; “we don’t get good away results because of the nature of pitches.

“If you have realised, we seem to get favorable results at league centers which have good pitches. We are at our best when we are able to possess the ball, but unfortunately, it’s not so when we travel away.”

WAFA occupies the seventh position on the 2015/16 GPL league table and their poor away performances will be tested this weekend as they travel to face struggling New Edubiase in week 24 of the GPL.
