Rio 2016 : Ghana"s Olympic Swimmer Fails To Progress

Ghana’s Olympic swimmer, Kaya forson has failed to progress into the next stage of the women’s 200 metres freestyle at the Rio Olympics having recorded a time of 2:16 :02m.

The Prodigy was last in the first heat as her competitors Shivani Kataria and Fiji’s Matelita Buadramo recorded a time of  2:05.49 and 2:09.30 respectively.


 


Abeiku Jackson has now been handed the mantle of making Ghana proud in the pool as he looks forward to his first heat in the coming days.


 


Kaya was named as the youngest athlete at the championship and recently competed in FINA’s 12th Luxembourg International Swimming Open in preparation for the Rio Olympics.
