Fosu Mensah Agrees New Manchester United Deal

Dutch-born Ghanaian Timothy Fosu-Mensah has agreed a new long-term deal to stay at Manchester United, according to British newspaper reports.


The Daily Telegraph claims he will sign a new four-year contract with the Daily Mail adding an official announcement will take place in the coming days.


The 18-year-old defender, who joined United’s academy squad from Ajax in September 2014, made his first-team debut in the 3-2 win over Arsenal in February.


Fosu-Mensah had a splendid season under Coach Luis Van Gaal where he was able to make 8 appearances for the Reds in the 2015/16 season.


Fosu-Mensah would join 18-year-old Marcus Rashford and 19-year-old Cameron Borthwick-Jackson as young players who have been rewarded with new deals since the arrival of  Jose Mourinho at Man. United


Fosu-Mensah faces competition for a place in the side as right-back, with Antonio Valencia having been impressive in preseason and Matteo Darmian a second senior option.
