Adidas Not Satisfied With United’s Performance
United signed the most lucrative kit deal in world sport last summer when they teamed up with Adidas in a £750million agreement over 10 years.
The deal saw United end their long-standing relationship with US sports wear, Nike. Adidas and Manchester united sugned a deal with both parties solely hoping it would yield fresh success on and off the field.
Herbert Hainer, whose company provides United’s kit, has said, “Business with Man United is going very well, we sell more shirts than expected. We are satisfied, even if the current playing style of Man United is not exactly what we want to see.”
In an interview with German newspaper Suddeutsche Zeitung, Hainer added: “This success confirms again that United is not just a football club. With more than 650million fans globally, it is, without doubt, one of the world’s most supported sports symbols.
This special club has not only a rich history, but also a reputation for success and the unexpected.”
Manchester united won their first game after going 8 – games without a win, when they defeated nemesis Swansea city by 2-goals to 1 and will hope to find some consistency and climb up the league log.
