Ghana Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyeman Badu has mentioned that the game against the Comoros was a difficult game.

Ghana beat Comoros 2-0 to qualify to the group stage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in the second leg tie played at Baba Yara Stadium on Tuesday.

Mubarak Wakaso and Jordan Ayew scored in the 18th and 85th respectively to hand Ghana victory in Tuesday’s game after the first leg game ended goalless last Friday in Moroni.

Speaking after the game Badu noted that their opponents were a tactically disciplined side who play to a well-rehearsed pattern of play which on the day was a bit difficult for the side to break.

“We had to resort to wing play to break their resolve and I must say it worked for us.”

According to him, the visitors had their moments during the game and missed them while the Stars made good use of the chances that came their way.

“They came here to frustrate us, we had other ideas for them and that propelled us to victory.”

He took the opportunity to thank the Kumasi supporters for their massive support, “it was raining, but they were here in their numbers and were wonderful throughout the game.”

He extended a huge thumbs-up to his colleagues for coming out and making sure they won the game, however he was quick to add that it was too early to say they would make it to Russia, stating that they as a team would for their best to make it to the fourth straight World Cup come 2018.
