Mubarak Wakaso and Harrison Afful boarded the same flight as the last batch of foreign-based Ghanaians left the country to rejoin their clubs.

The Ghana duo are likely to be heading to the Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam to connect to other flights to their final destination.

Six players left Accra on Wednesday night to complete the list of foreign-based players who have already left the country to return to their clubs.

The likes of Andre and Jordan Ayew, Jeffrey Schlupp and Baba Abdul Rahman had left on Tuesday night back to their bases in the UK.

Jonathan Mensah, Daniel Amartey, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, Mubarak Wakaso, Harrison Afful and Ebenezer Assifuah also departed on Wednesday night.

The Ghanaian players had arrived over a week ago to qualify the nation to the final phase of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

Ghana progressed on a 2-0 aggregate scoreline having been held to a 0-0 draw by the islanders in the first leg clash.
