Asante Kotoko’s seven-day pre-season camping in Takoradi has been progressive. The technical team has begun preparing the team for competitions in the 2015/16 season.

The team left Kumasi last Sunday for the Western regional capital for their pre-season programme. Since they left, activities on their training schedule, as planned by technical team have gone well with the players cheerful about the work being done against next season.

Communications Manager, Kwaku Ahenkorah told the club’s website that management is satisfied with how events have turned out. He said they were looking forward to more of that.

“All is well with the team. We expect more of the good things we have observed. We like the togetherness and the preparedness the team has shown to work hard next season,” he said.

When reached for comments on trends at their new base, Skipper Amos Frimpong disclosed that, the spirit in camp has never been high as what they are experiencing.

He was confident that, the work they have started would impact positively on their matches when the season formally opens.

“We like the spirit and the atmosphere under which we have been working. You can see everybody is serious about the sessions.

“This is only the beginning. I believe that eventually this will turn things around for us when we start playing,” said the team’s captain.

But some players are not yet in camp for varying reasons.

They are centre back, Abeiku Ainooson who is Sudan; Amed Toure who has been on national assignment with the Stallions of Burkina Faso and Kwadwo Poku who is presently injured.

Meanwhile, the latest signing, Richard Agyeman joined his teammates on Monday.
