Sports Ministry clear arrears in part owed to Black Stars with $15,000 payment

[ad_1]

The Sports Ministry issued a cheque of $15,000 to each Black Stars player on Tuesday as part-payment of arrears owed.

Players of the Black Stars were owed bonuses dating back to their friendly match against Togo back in June.

The arrears grew bigger with the Sports Ministry’s failure to pay the bonuses of the players following the 1-0 win over Rwanda in the 2017 AFCON qualifiers in September.

The amount cleared thus covers what was owed for the friendly against Togo and the AFCON qualifier against Rwanda.

This therefore means bonuses are still owed the Black Stars for their 2-0 win over Comoros on Tuesday to progress in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
