Hearts must make a strong start in the league - PRO

Accra Hearts of Oak Communication Director, Kwame Opare Larbi has tasked the playing staff of the phobian family to make a strong start to the season if they are to end their domestic campaign on the podium.


The soft spoken Opare charged the players to make a flying start to the season especially in the opening five matches as it could go a long way to determine where their season will head.


Accra Hearts of Oak last won the league trophy some eight years ago but the Club’s official mouth peice has promised fans of an improved performance that look set to land them the first trophy since 2008.


The 20 times league champions opens their 2016 campaign at home to New Edubiase before heading to Tarkwa for a blockbuster clash with Medeama SC.


The rainbow family then take on Ebusua Dwarfs, Bechem United and Inter Allies in a scary opening five matches for the Capital based side.


Communication officer however urdged the fans to be ready for quality football from the players as they make a flying start to the season.


“We know that our first five matches will be very tough and could go a long way to determine the position at the end of the season. We are going to take match after match and by the time we complete the first five games we will have more points to show”. Opare told sports crusader.


He added,”We were not consistent last season and our aim is to be consistent this season with very good football to show. Edubiase has been tough for us but this season they are not going to have easy with us”.


The 2016 Ghanaian top flight kicks off on February 20 with Techiman City, Dreams FC, and Ebusua Dwarfs joining the elite division.
