Deputy captain of the Black Stars, Andre Ayew has mentioned that the vision of the team is to qualify for their 4th consecutive World Cup appearance and urged his colleagues to keep the dream alive.

Ayew who played the full duration of Ghana’s 2-0 win over a stubborn Comoros side, was of the view that the performance of their opponents in both legs has given them a wake up call, an action they will do well to learn from in the next stage of the World Cup qualifiers.

“They were a very good side and they gave us some very anxious moments and I believe that many lessons have been learnt from it, even as we have qualified to the group stage of the qualifiers.”

For Andre, there don’t have to be swollen headed as the journey to Russia has only began.

”Well, it was an expected victory with all due respect to Comoros. We need not be swollen-headed. We are Ghana and we are the best team in Africa. We need to stay calm.”

“Our aim is to get to the World Cup in Russia so we need to stay humble. Let us not think we have done it all. This is just the beginning and we are going to face more of such teams.”

“I want to congratulate all my colleagues, those who played and didn’t, for this victory. We are very focused and with th help of all Ghanaians we will make it to Russia 2018”.
