GHALCA Veep envisages competitive league after G6 Tourney

Vice Pesident of the Ghana league clubs Association (GHALCA), Isaac Koomson has predicted a very competitive 2016 season in the topflight if the clubs can sustain their impressive form in the off season tournaments.


The GHALCA Veep has tasked the premier league clubs to sustain their off season momentum ahead of next month’s kick off, if the excitement shown in the First Trust G6 is to be capitalised on.


Koomson also pleaded with club owners and cooperate Ghana to improve on the sporting infrastructures across the country in the interest of the league.


Koomson highlighted the swashbuckling form of the selected sides in the inaugural edition of the GHALCA invitational tourney as a landmark for the main league itself.


He said the performance from the clubs in the four day tournament is a testament of the highly anticipated competitive 2016 domestic football calendar.


He told sports crusader, “The expectations are high ahead of the season openers. All the clubs have done a very good recruitment exercise and are poised to perform in the coming season. It will be a very competitive and an exciting season and all should have access to watch it”.


Mr. Koomson added, “Technically, the teams benefited a lot from the First Trust G6 tournament. The coaches saw the strengths of their sides and they will be given the chance of correcting it before the season kicks off”.







Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Aduana Stars announced their intentions ahead of the season with impeccable display of total football in the G6 showdown.
