Stephane Mbia ditched Tranzonspor for Fortune FC in China

Indomitable Lions skipper Stephanie Etounde Mbia has ditched Tranzonspor for a mega deal with Chinese side Heibei China Fortune FC.

The 29 year old joined the Chinese side on a three year deal just six months into his Tranzonspor deal.

The gargling defensive screen joined the growing army of global icons heading to the Asian country led by Brazilian trio of Robinho, Ramirez, and Paulinho.

He will be joining the ever growing African contingent in the country that includes Asamoah Gyan and former Arsenal wing wizard Gervinho, who recently arrived from AS Roma on a bumper deal.

Mbia rose to prominence at the Stade Velodrome in Marseiles before heading to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuain with a transit at the Loftus Road with QPR.

The lions skipper won back to back Europa league with Unai Emery’s all conquering Seville side in 2014 and 2015 before heading to Turkey for a stinct with Tranzonspor.

Mbia’s absence from the continent’s finest players released by CAF sparked a heated argument across the continent ahead of the 2015 Glo CAF Awards in Nigeria.
