Kwadwo Asamoah Injured Again


Juventus midfielder, Kwadwo Asamoah has been plagued with injury since the 2014/15 season and that has affected his playing opportunity with both club and country.


 


 


The former Udinese play-maker recently returned from a long injury lay-off that kept him out of the Juventus’ Serie A winning team, though he recovered in time for the UEFA champions league final against FC Barcelona he only made the substitute bench as the Italian club got thrashed by the Spanish la liga club.


 


Agyemang Badu a national team colleague and ex-Udinese team-mate of Asamoah recently called on Ghanaians to intercede on his mates behave as he tries to overcome the injuries that some have tagged as ‘spiritually motivated’.

The Juventus left-wing back is reported to have raptured the knee injury that kept him out of the start of the 2015/16 season but his mum, Aunty Cece has quashed the rumours and allayed the fears of Ghanaians.


 


 


Kwadwo Asamoah underwent medical checks after reporting injured during Wednesday’s Coppa Italia triumph over Inter at Juventus Stadium. The Ghanaian midfielder has suffered a torn biceps femoris in his right thigh and is expected to be sidelined for two to three weeks.

In an interview with Boss fm 93.7 in Kumasi, the mum has contradicted the news published on the clubs official website saying, “We’ve Christ on our side so we fear no evil. I spoke to him yesterday but he said nothing about been injured.”


 


“I’m always advising him to never cease praying and I know and believe in the intercessory prayers we have on phone. He has assured me his prayerful like always and the wife is helping him in that as well,” she added.


 


Kwadwo Asamoah will miss Juventus’ Serie A game away to Chievo Verona as the Old Ladies of Italian football continue with their fine vein of form.
