Black Stars combative midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu made a triumphant 2016 serie A debut with a hard earned 2- 1 win over Atalanta.
The 25 year old Udinese defensive screen bossed affairs from the centre of the pitch in the opening fixture of the Serie A after the winter break.
Udinese halted a run of poor results to pick their 7th win of the campaign to move into the top 10 after a dreadful start to the season.
The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko crowd favourite screened his defence with monstrous performance at the Stadio Fruili in the nervy 2-1 win.
Cyril Theareau opened the scoring for Udinese midway through the first half before Stipe Perica doubled the tally on the stroke of half time.
Atalanta however came out from recess boosted by their strong performance in the latter stages of first half to snatch a well deserved goal with 15 minutes to go. The home side however held on to usher the new year with a triumphant debut in the top flight.
Badu has since managed 17 appearances for the Zebratas including 3 strikes to show for his efforts.
