Aduana Stars defender Yakubu Mohammed has revealed that winning the best-defender-award at the 2016 G-6 invitational tournament has lifted his spirit ahead of the coming season.
The former DC United player was a delight to watch at the defence of Aduana Stars during the G-6 tournament, an action that saw them play in the finals with eventual winners Asante Kotoko.
He signed a three-year deal with the Dormaa based Club a few weeks ago and according to the dependable defender he is very fired up for the season.
“I am very fired up, in fact the whole team is very fired up for the new season and we are getting our acts together at training”.
“Our motivation stems from the fact that we put up a good show at the G-6 tournament, played in the final and I won the best defender award. The whole team is beaming with confidence I believe that once the season starts we will be the team to beat”, Yakubu Mohammed.
