Hearts Beat Swedru Professionals 1-0 In Preseason Friendly

Accra Hearts of Oak gave their supporters something to cheer about on Sunday after they beat Division One side Swedru Professionals in a preseason friendly played at the Swedru Park.

The Phobians who failed to win any of their two group matches in the G-6 Invitational Tournament played a determined game on Sunday but were unlucky not have won the match by a wider margin.

It was non-competitive, but Coach Kenichi’s men attached all seriousness to the game and were rewarded by a goal in the first half thanks to an Isaac Mensah strike.

None of their fresh signings played a part in the game with Coach Kenichi still monitoring some players ahead of the deadline for the registration.

“Its wasn’t a vintage win but at least, we had a goal and the technical team is happy with how the game went today.”

“The team is gradually taking shape and I believe that we should record more of such wins in subsequent matches”, Public Relations officer of the Club, Kwame Opare Addo mentioned to footballcrusader.com after the game.
