The launch of the ‘impartation match’ between the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederations Cup winning squads and the present players of Accra Hearts of Oak has taken place at the Clubs secretariat in Accra.
Present to throw more light on Sunday’s event were former players, Yaw Amankwaah Mireku, Wisdom Abbey and Lawrence Adjah Tetteh.
Hackman Aidoo, the Club’s Administrative Manager and president of the Hearts Ladies Vicentia Deku were also present.
To climax the 11th anniversary of winning the CAF CONFEDERATION CUP( THE VIRGIN CUP), there will be a special match dubbed “the impartation match” come Sunday the 31st of January 2016 at the Accra sports stadium.
The Millennium squad being a combined team of the 2000 CAF Champions League, Super Cup(64 Battalions) and 2005 Confederation Cup(Virgin team) versus the current Accra Hearts of Oak team.
This match is being used to impart the winning spirit and the mentality of the Millennium team which represented the most successful era in the history of Accra Hearts of Oak SC on the field of play to the current playing body.
Some of the players expected to feature for the historic Millennium team includes Captains Jacob Nettey and Yaw Amankwah Mireku and the likes of Adjah Tetteh, Charles Taylor, Joe Ansah,James Nanor,Sannie Mohammed, Osmanu Amadu, Emmanuel Donkor, Prince Tagoe, Kwame Antwi, Dan Oppong among others whilst the current team will use the match to introduce the new recruits like Samudeen Ibrahim, Samuel Yeboah,Richard Akrofi among others together with old guards like Skipper Robin Gnagne, Soulemana and co.
