Malik Jabir Thumbs Up Quality In Kotoko’s Team


Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko head coach, Malik Jabir has heaped praises on Opoku Nti led management, technical team and the players of Kotoko for displaying the quality within the team.


 


 


The 23 times Ghana premier league champions divided their team into two with the first team leaving for an international friendly competition in Libya and the second team participated in the just ended, GHALCA First Trust G6. The second team were led by the experienced pair – Jordan Opoku in midfield and goal keeper, Richard Ofori who guided the rest of the team were newly signed players who grabbed the chance to prove their quality.


 


In an exclusive interview with Kumasi based, Boss 93.7 FM, Jabir said, “Kotoko were great because we stayed t least more than 5 years and that guaranteed us much success during my time.”


 


Jabir who played for Kotoko as well ended with a piece of advice stating, “I’ll entreat management to keep these crop of players in the league for at least years so they can dominate the Ghana premier league for long. Management should also keep eyes on the youth side as well to ready them (youth) for first team action in some years to come.”


 


 


Kotoko won the maiden edition of the G6 with three wins and scored 5 – goals in the competition.
