Kofi Abanga Explains Why Congo Deal Collapsed




Former Harts of Oak midfilder Kofi Abanga has explained why he did not sign for Congolese-based Saint Eloi Lupopo a few weeks ago.


The player who left Hearts of Oak during the end of the 2014/15 football season was invittedc by th Congolese Club for a possible negociations ahaed of a possible signing, but this according to the player, did not materialize.


“Yes I had a call from officials of Saint Eloi Lupopo and myself and my agent traveled to Congo. It was a nice place I must admit but the terms and conditions of the contract they offered was not encouraging, hence my decision to come back to Ghana”, Abanga told footballcrusader.com in an intrview.


“They wanted me to sign for three years, which I had no issues with. But the problem was the amount of money involved. We tried to to negociate, but they were adamant so I had n o choice than to return to Ghana.”


According the one-time darling of Hearts of Oak fans, his doors areopen to any Club that will need his services, but will only sign for the right money.


“As for me I dont care where  I play because I know I can shine anywhere, but I will sign for a Club who meets my demands”, he added.
