Many Ghanaian players were involved in mid-week action for their various European clubs. In Spain the copa del rey continued whilst arguably the best league in the world, the English premier league continued with some mouthwatering games. In Italy where the exodus of Ghanaian players keep growing the Serie A action was replaced with games in the Italian cup.

Andre Dede Ayew scored a screamer after he received a long pass from goal keeper, Lukasz Fabianski and after he drove into the Sunderland box the forward drilled a rasping left-foot drive that flew past Vito Mannone into the far corner of the net.

Las Palmas qualified into the semi final of the copa del rey after beating Eibar 3 – 2. Mubarak Wakaso like always cant seem to stay away from the books of the referee after he was booked with just 37 minutes into the game. Las Palmas qualified on 6 – 4 aggregate.
