Tema Youth vows to fight case against Dreams FC

[ad_1]

Tema Youth Chief Executive Officer, Wilfred Osei Parma, has refused to give up on his bid to qualify his club to the Premier League despite the dismissal of their case on review against Dreams FC.

Tema Youth suffered yet another setback in their protest against Dreams FC over the use of an improperly registered player.

Dreams FC emerged winners of Zone 3 of the Division One League to pick the automatic qualification slot into the Premier League.

But their promotion has been challenged by Dreams FC over the use of an ‘unqualified player’.

Tema Youth have thus angling for Dreams FC to be disqualified from promotion with the automatic qualification slot going rather to his club that finished second in the zone.

But their bid suffered the ultimate setback when their final appeal with the case going to review after the decisions of both the Disciplinary and Appeals Committees went in favour of Dreams FC dismissed.

Wilfred Osei who is the CEO of Tema Youth has however vowed to keep fighting for ‘justice’ as he prepared himself to take the case to the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).

“The case is only getting started.

“For me to take the case to CAS I had to exhaust all the judicial avenues within the GFA.

“I knew within me when taking the case to review it would be difficult to squeeze water out of a stone.

“But I went through the procedure anyway because it was a requirement towards taking the case to CAS.” He stated in an interview.

Osei Parma remains confident he will eventually secure a favourable decision when the case heads to the international judiciary body.

“My case has been dismissed due to some technicalities and the substantive case has not yet been heard.

“I am very confident that when the merits of the case is really heard, I will secure a victory.”
