Coach Avram Grant says rookie Samuel Tetteh earned his call up into the Black Stars on the back of impressive displays with the U-20 and the CHAN team.
The winger was handed his debut call up into the senior national team for the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Comoros.
Tetteh is the only outfield player called up to the Black Stars from the domestic league with the squad thoroughly dominated by foreign-based players.
Avram Grant says he has been tracking the exploits of the WAFA winger to earn him a place in his team.
The Black Stars trainer adds that similar opportunity will be given to all players to also play themselves into earning similar call ups in future.
“Samuel Tetteh came into the squad the normal way that we need to come.
“We have a CHAN team, CHAN is for the local players. The procedure is to play in the U20 team.
“When I was at the tournament I saw him and he played very well in Senegal. The second, they go to the CHAN team and if they are good there they will come to us.” He stated.
