Misunderstanding has erupted after organisers of fund raising ti honour departed souls of the 1965 Africa Cup of nations winning squad.
Corporate bodies and other entities organised to raise funds to settle 1965 Africa Cup of nations winning squad, but excluded members of the squad who no more on earth.
And son of the late Willie Evans, Ben Evans has revealed that members of the Willie family are peeved with decision of fund raisers to exclude his late father from the list of beneficiaries.
Despite Group of Companies organised a football match between the 1992 Afcon silver medal winners and the current Kumasi Asante Kotoko team to raise funds to honour the heroes of the 1965 AFCON winning squad.
A fund raising dinner was also organised and current Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan donated GHC 50,000, Nana Akuffo Addo, New Patriotic Party Presidential candidate and many others donated huge sums of money to the organisers.
The money however, has been shared to only surviving members of the team and Ben Evans is unhappy with the development.
“My father should benefit from the package Peace FM gave to the 1965 AFCON winning team, because he was part of the team and his picture was used to solicit for funds.
“Although, the he is dead the family must benefit from the money Despite Group (Peace FM) of Companies,” he told Hot FM.
But it is believed that the monies realised from the fund raising will be shared to all members of the squad either dead or alive.
