Assistant coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Micheal Osei Michael Osei has predicted a highly competitive season on the domestic scene when the 2016 calendar finally kicks off.
The vice trainer with the rejuvenated Reds touted the upcoming season as one of the most competitive seasons in recent times if the true quality of the players reflect on the pitch.
The much respected coach highlighted the quality of players across the league as one of many factors to change the usual duopoly on the local scene.
Osei forecasted a photo finish to the season despite his side’s pre-season warning shots.
The assistant trainer highlighted the quality recruitment exercise undertaken by Aduana Stars, Ashgold and Medeama SC as the barometer for his predictions.
“I think this year’s league will be more competitive even than last year. It is going to be an interesting and a very competitive league based on the recruitment undertaken by the clubs.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko have done a very good job in the transfer market. We are always the favourite in the league but Aduana Stars, Medeama SC and Ashgold all look dangerous. Aduana Stars however look more dangerous”, Micheal Osei told Sports Crusader.
