Spain based Ghanaian midfielder Fatawu Mohammed has officially apologised for gesturing at away fans after his debut goal against Llagostera.
The 22 year old Almeria defensive midfielder pointed at supporters of Llagostera after scoring the winner in a nervy 2-1 win to end poor run of results.
The hard tackling midfielder missed the last league fixture for Almeria but has since returned to accept full responsibility of his celebration ahead of the Cordoba trip.
Fatawu scored a screamer at home to the struggling Llagostera in the Segunda division to halt a run of 17 matches without a win.
He then gestured at the visiting fans out of emotions but has since issue an official apology in a remorseful manner. The former Vallecano and Granada defensive shield has been touted as one of the finest midfielders in the division with reported interest from a number of top flight clubs in spain.
“I apologise for my actions after the goal against Llagostera. My commitment is up to the team”, Fatawu told the press ahead of the Cordoba clash.
The midfielder has since managed 14 appearances for the relegation threatened Almeria in an injury ravaged season in the Segunda division.
