Ace broadcaster Moses Foh Amoaning has called on the Ghana Football Association to simplify rules of the game to make it easier for the Disciplinary Committee to interpret.
The Ghana Premier League season has delayed due to the inability of the Disciplinary Committee to easily expedite cases before them.
Before the end of last season, the Ghana FA Disciplinary Committee found Kotoko guilty of fielding ineligible player when the FA rules had stipulated clearly that the newly created competition — the Elite Cup was a recognised FA competition.
The ruling was overturned after the season ended.
A ruling against Techiman City for alleged match-fixing with Wa Africa United was also overruled.
Tema Youth FC reported a case involving Dreams Football Club to Court of Arbitration for Sport for fielding a player with two different names for two different clubs. The DC ruling punished the said player, but left off the club.
And Moses Foh Amoaning wants the rules made easy for the adjudicating body of the Football Association.
“Kwesi Nyantakyi has done a good job, but there’s a lot we all need to learn,” the former Ghana Boxing Authority chairman told Atinka FM.
“Let’s talk about the rules football now. I think rules for football is a bit complicated, the FA have to simplify the rules in terms of the Disciplinary procedure and set targets for them.
“They should get old judges who have time to handle these matters. It doesn’t matter what sort of training you had as a lawyer, you must have your own integrity and your own self discipline.
“Someone’s case may be different from another and lawyers must can interpret in different ways.” He concluded.
