The Managing Director of Accra Hearts of Oak, Gerald Ankrah on Monday resigned from his post, after months of pressure.
Ankrah, who has been under constant pressure from fans and some high ranking official, send his resignation letter to the Board Chairman of the Club, Torgbe Afede and subsequently handed over to the Administrative Manager Hackman Aidoo.
According to information reaching sports, the decision to resign follows difficult working conditions, after five months of unpaid salaries to workers at the secretariat.
According to the source, the MD also seem not happy over certain keys decisions taken in recent times which seem to have relegated him to the back ground.
The source also noted that, the MD is not in the mood to absorb more pressure from supporters and high ranking officers of the club.
Ankrah, who was recently made secretary to the Strategic Committee of the club headed by Vincent Odotei Sowah, according to the information was also not impressed with the initiative, hence the his decision to bow out.
