SC Medeama Coach Tom Strand Wants To Win G-6 Tournament

Head coach of FA Cup Champions SC Medeama Tom Strand wants no excuses from his players when the G-6 Invitational tournament commences on Thursday at the Essipong stadium.

Medeama who beat Asante Kotoko to win the 2015 MTN FA Cup at the same venue is one of the six teams gunning for this year’s G-6 trophy, and will use the tournament to better fine tune his team as they prepare to represent Ghana in the CAF Confederations Cup which commences next month.

Medeama will play their first match of the G-6 Tournament on Friday against familiar foe Accra Hearts of Oak, and that according to Strand must be done convincingly as he targets his first victory against the Phobians this year.

“We have been preparation like any other team and we are confident in our abilities. We are in the competition to win it, but all that well depend on our first match against Hearts of Oak”, Tom Strand mentioned.

“The team is fired up for this new challenge and I believe that it will be a very good platform to show how prepared we are for the CAF competition. So in all, I am expecting a very good tournament and a good performance from my team.”
