Former Board member Accra Hearts of Oak, Harry Zakkour has told Togbe Afede XI V he should expect to make money managing the club because the old directors never made a penny.
Togbe Afede, majority shareholder of the club, took over the head of the 20-times Ghana Premier league champions when the shares were floated in 2009.
The clubs has since suffered a major set back, going about seven years without major silverware.
Fans and former directors has put the decline of the 2000 CAF Champions League winners blame at the doors of the majority, and he intend told them he is not making money running the club.
And has told him he should not expect to make any money from the club because the club achieved success under the old management without any of them making money.
He also revealed that he was against the flotation of shares and that has made him an enemy of Togbe.
“I was against the floating of shares in the club and this is why Togbe is not happy with me. He goes round telling people Alhaji Hearts and I are sabotaging him. Nobody is interested in sabotaging him, we don’t think about him, we think about our lost club — the club that has made me (Harry Zakkour) who are I am, the club that has made many people who they are today,” Harry Zakkour told Happy FM.
“Togbe is the main problem of Accra Hearts of Oak. He says we should pay him and take over our club if he is the problem, but he has forgotten many of us spent money in the club before he came. He should leave the club and come queue behind me and wait for his money.
“Does he think we were making money when we were running the club?” Harry Zakkour quizzed.
