It Will Be An Honour To Represent Kotoko – Juventus Midfielder
Juventus midfielder, Kwadwo Asamoah has disclosed his untainted love for Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
The Ghanaian midfielder who previously played for Liberty Professionals in the Ghana premier league before leaving for European pastures declared his love for the porcupine warriors and his declaration will be received with much delight by the Kotoko fans. Asamoah is currently struggling for game time and has been battling injury for almost a year now but has recovered.
The 28 – year old said, “I don’t follow the local league a lot, but I do once in a while via the internet. I support Asante Kotoko because I’m Asante. I’ve been a Kotoko fan since I was born. My parents and everyone are Kotoko fans so it runs in the family.
“I haven’t actually thought about playing for the club before I retire but I know some friends currently playing in Europe would like to play there after their career abroad. I’m talking about some of my colleagues in the Black Stars.
I can’t mention their names.
I wouldn’t mind playing too. Maybe, after my career abroad and I want to have a feel of the local league again before finally bringing my career to an end,” he added.
Kwadwo Asamoah has followed in the footsteps of national team mate and captain, Asamoah Gyan who also declared his love for Kotoko and his desire to retire with the 23-times Ghana premier league champions.
